Green Public Procurement

The European Commission defines Green Public Procurement (GPP) in its communication COM (2008) 400 “Public procurement for a better environment” as a process whereby public authorities seek to procure goods, services and works with a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle when compared to goods, services and works with the same primary function that would otherwise be procured.”

In order to determine the national perspectives within COST Action FP1303, a questionnaire on Green Public Procurement (GPP) has been compiled, and it is hoped that all Member States will take part in compiling information. The target groups include all partners of COST Action FP1303, stakeholders for public participation and decision/policy makers.

Aim of the Questionnaire:
- to identify best practice on GPP and to analyze the adoption and implementation of GGP practices by the Member States in EU in construction sector
- to deliver a review and comparison among Member States

The questionnaire can be downloaded from here.
